KBB Music is New Zealand's largest retailer of Brass and Woodwind Instruments. Our busy repair department currently has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Brass & Woodwind Repair Technician with a mature outlook.
 
The ideal candidate will need to have been professionally trained and qualified in all area's of Brass and Woodwind repair and preferably have had a minimum of 3 years full time experience. Applicants with a high level of skill and experience with flutes will have an advantage.
 
Our well equipped workshop services all Brass and Woodwind instruments from student through to professional level. We pride ourselves on our quick turnaround and high standards so we require applicants who share a passion for excellence, producing the highest quality of workmanship, and who are able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
 
Applicants will need to have a demonstrated attitude of constant self-improvement and a willingness to share and contribute ideas as part of a team environment to grow the business. Depending on skill level presented the recruitment process will require a 1-2 week period to assess your fitness for the role before being employed for the position.
 
Our workshop is based at our main branch in Auckland. Remuneration will reflect your skill level and experience.
 

Essential Skills:

  • A high degree of competence and experience in Brass, Woodwind, and Flute repairs and maintainence.
     

Preferred Skills:

  • Professionally trained in all aspects of Brass and Woodwind repairs.
  • Recognised qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience.
  • Ability to play all Brass and Woodwind instruments to a testing level.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Work effectively under pressure in a high volume work environment.
  • Deal well with people of all ages.
  • Computer literate.
  • A good command of the English language and communication.
