Commerce Manager – Webb Group, Rockshop and KBB Music

 

The Rockshop and KBB Music brands are both household names in NZ music retail and regarded by many as the most professional in the music sector in New Zealand. This incredible role is offered to market for the first time.

 

We seek a dynamic, organised, E-Commerce Manager to assist with further development of our existing On Line Division. It is one of the most exciting and dynamic parts of the business. If you have done this before - and done it well - with proven abilities across a wide range of E -commerce competencies, you will hit the ground running.

 

We’re absolutely passionate about - and committed to - the music industry, music retail and support for NZ musicians across all genres and ages. Our team of e-commerce specialists are deeply embedded in the business and already offer a great customer service experience; we’re about progress and know we can do even better. This is not all about on-line Sales; it is about supporting and strategising within a larger team.

 

  • You will liaise with the Creative Team and Product Managers.

  • You will be flexible to changing conditions and with expert knowledge; you will bring professional discipline and proven business acumen to the role.

  • You will audit processes and resources, propose revisions and oversee development projects.

  • You will review On line strategies and ensure best practices in this space

  • You will report directly to the Board on a regular basis

     

    And when required, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the frontline tasks to ensure the client’s needs and requests are always prioritized.

     

    PRIOR EXPERIENCE: The right candidate should have proven abilities as follows

     

  • Background in a successful retail E-Commerce sales environment

  • Understanding of the different technological components of online commerce

  • Experience with -and successful use of - CRM systems, database management and customer loyalty programs

  • Knowledge of SEO tactics, data mining and security

  • Staff Management skills for a small team of employees

  • E-Commerce projects - management and implementation

  • Creative with a strategic mindset – think outside the box

  • Efficient processes and systems design and management

  • Professional communication skills both verbal and written

  • Reporting to Executive and Board level

     

    Preferred Skills: It would be helpful to have

     

    A Marketing background; Campaign management experience

    Web Design, co-ordination, UE and / or website administration skills

    Competencies in delegation and team leadership
