The Seniors Band (NZ Concert Bands Assn Inc)
27-29 April, Gisborne. For musicians 40+ years of age. The NZ Concert Bands Association has established a band for senior musicians 40+ years of age who play brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. The purpose of the Band is to support musical and professional development in older musicians, networking and knowledge exchange. The Seniors Band will be conducted by John Snowling.

Bach Plus Competitions
Entries close 25 February 2011. The inaugural 'Bach Plus' Competitions for instrumentalists, held in 2011 in Auckland, Canberra and Sydney will culminate in finals and performances in Sydney in March 2011 as part of Sydney's 'Bach Plus' Festival. Open to performers of classical music instruments of modern or historic format. Each entrant must submit a programme of two unaccompanied works comprising one work by J.S.Bach and another work by an Australian or New Zealand composer. more
