KBB Technicians
Michael Austin
One of the country's most experienced brass and woodwind instrument repair technicians, Michael is a born and bred New Zealander who grew up playing brass instruments with Salvation Army Bands.
Mike trained full-time as a brass, wind and string repairer at Merton Technical College in London in the early 1980s, graduating with a City and Guilds Diploma in Musical Instrument Repair with Distinction.
Since returning to New Zealand in 1983, Mike has been an invaluable asset to KBB Music's Repair Department which he leads.

Jennifer Weigel
Originally from Kansas, Jennifer Weigel moved to Auckland in 2012 with her young family to join KBB Music's Technical Team.
Prior to arriving in New Zealand, Jenny (as she is known at KBB Music), was an instrument repair technician at Senseney Music in Kansas where she repaired and restored woodwinds, brasswinds, and orchestral strings for the 8 years, as well as guitars for a year.
Jenny's specialists and favorites are orchestral strings and woodwinds. She also enjoys custom woodwork.
Jenny attended Kansas State and Wichita State Universities, graduating with a Bachelor or Arts in Music with emphasis on Clarinet, as well as Musicology.
Jenny is based in KBB Music's workshop in Epsom, Auckland.
