In-House Repair Workshop

KBB has a fully-equipped workshop with a large parts inventory.  Whether you need a small dent taken out or a complete overhaul of that instrument that's been in the closet, we are the people to see! No job is too big or small.

KBB Technicians

Michael Austin

KBB_Repairs_Manager_1_1.JPGMike is the Manager of KBB's repair department. As a child, Mike grew up playing brass instruments in Salavtion Army Bands.

From 1981 to 1983 he trained full time as a brass, wind and string repairer at Merton Technical College in London, graduating with a City and Guilds Diploma in Musical Instruments Repairs with Distinction.

Since returning to New Zealand in 1983, Mike has been KBB Music's Technical Manager.

Guy Moon

KBB_repairs_technician_1.jpgGuy Moon was born in Somerset, England.  He has completed a 3-Year Higher National Diploma in Wind Instrument Technology Repair and Construction in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Guy has worked in the UK, Middle East, Europe and now New Zealand.  He has over 15 years of experience in wind and brass repairs.
